Acceptance

Base Reality (base-reality.org) is an independent publication of analytical essays and reports, operated by Shourya Maheshwari as a sole-author project. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What the Site Is

Base Reality publishes long-form analytical writing. There are no accounts, no purchases, no subscriptions, and no user-submitted content. The site is read-only: nothing you do here creates an account or a contract beyond these terms.

Ownership

All essays, reports, figures, charts, and design elements on this site are the original work of the author and are protected by copyright. The Base Reality name, wordmark, and visual identity are the author's.

Third-party material referenced in the essays — quoted passages, cited statistics, linked reports — remains the property of its respective owners and is used here for commentary, criticism, and analysis.

What You May Do

• Read, print, and save the essays for personal use.
• Quote passages for commentary, criticism, teaching, or research, with clear attribution to Base Reality and a link to the original page.
• Share links to any page, including on social platforms.
• Cite the work in academic or professional writing, using the article title, author, and URL.

What You May Not Do

• Republish an essay in full, or in substantial part, on another site or in another publication without written permission.
• Present the writing as your own, or strip the attribution from a quotation.
• Use the content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine learning models, or scrape it in bulk for that purpose, without written permission.
• Sell the content, or include it in a paid product or dataset.
• Modify a quotation in a way that misrepresents its meaning or the author's argument.

Accuracy and Corrections

The essays are researched and cited, but they are analysis and argument, not established fact. Figures are drawn from the sources named in each article's reference list and are accurate to the best of the author's knowledge at the time of publication. Published pieces may be revised; the "Updated" date on an article reflects its last substantive edit.

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, medical, employment, or investment advice. The essays discuss economic and psychological consequences of technological change in general terms. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the author's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you as a consumer.
